Dogs in Hermosa

Today Christina and I took her dogs down to the beach in Hermosa to work on her Christmas card photo. We were crunched for time, but we got some cute shots. They are so precious, couldn’t even pick a teaser!

I decided the best way to express how wonderful my mom’s wedding was is to list the highlights of the event.
5. It was the most beautiful day I have seen in Portland since I can remember, perfectly crisp and sunny.
4. I gained a sister. Carrie is a sweet, super fun girl. I am really looking forward to getting to know her better. If Saturday was any sign, I think we’ll get along juuuuust fine.
3. I gained a huge family. I mean HUGE. HUGE and CLOSE. I love it.
2. I got to see and catch up with my own family and friends. There is nothing like home sweet home.
1. I got to see my mother at the happiest she has been in a long time. She is always a happy lady but Saturday she had an extra giddiness that was simply refreshing. I am thankful that Danny is her life…and mine now too.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to take many photos and missed some of the couple so look out for more to come…

The girlies…

I’m getting cold just thinking about stepping out of baggage claim in Portland today. I guess I really have gotten used to this Southern California weather because its forcasted to be in the low 50’s during the day…I think I can deal. The best part is no rain; it must be mother nature’s wedding gift to my mom. I can’t wait to see everyone, specially my ecstatic mom at the ceremony! These are some photos from my last holiday trip brrrrrrr.

I get sooooo excited to come home after Monty gets his hair done. I mean, can you imagine walking in the door to this?
He also gives high fives and double fives, especially to Beaver fans!

I’ve been a huge fan of the OSU Beavers all my life and am so excited about this year’s football season. We are 2 games away from going to the Rose Bowl, something we haven’t done in 43 years! One reason for our success is Jaquizz Rodgers; he is this little 5′7 runningback machine and us Beavs just love him. Just had to post to show I am a proud fan and am a true Beaver believer.

Most people don’t know what to do during a photo shoot. I am quite the ham myself but can get a little pose shy when I’m told to act natural. Abbie and Louie sure don’t have this problem and really didn’t need a bit of direction. They were really cute just hanging out, laughing and weren’t afraid to give me the cheesiness I ask for. I love this street in Culver City, it made for a great pre-sunset shoot.

I’m not gonna lie…I was in a baaaaad mood, one of those moods that I didn’t think was going to change anytime soon. Luckily Abbie (my old roommate) has seen me in this state a time or two so I knew at least I could be honest. She is one of those people that makes it really hard to stay that way for long. This was the first time I was meeting Louie but I quickly realized that the two of them together were going to keep me laughing…a lot. In the short time we had, they worked it so look out for a bunch more but in the meantime aren’t they a fabulous pair?

Trisha (one of my first clients every) needs some current photos for a very important audition coming up. I am sending tons of good thoughts her way and hope to see her on broadway in the next few months!
